A charming mid-century French escargot service: a chromed metal holder embossed PARIS in raised relief, fitted with six escargot picks each tipped with a coloured enamel finial (red, white, green, orange, yellow + a sixth) — and a generous silvered snail-form serving dish (escargotière) for presenting a single buttered, parsleyed snail at table. Together on a fitted rosewood display plank. Holder and dish are unmarked but cleanly cast and polished. A complete and unusually elegant survival of post-war French dining ritual — the kind of table piece that turns an ordinary supper into a small theatre.
