Pierre Soufflet

Pierre Soufflet is a contemporary French painter whose work fuses Outsider energy with the formal patience of decorative tradition. His canvases — luminous interiors, harbours, façades — are built from a restless calligraphic line that crawls across walls, fabrics and skies. Vermilions, magentas, sea-greens and acid yellows collide with hand-drawn motifs, miniature paintings within paintings, and inhabitants somewhere between dream and folk-tale. The result is rooms that feel inhabited even when empty, and cities that feel half-imagined even when familiar.
