Marc Bodie

Marc Bodie is a contemporary sculptor whose bronzes carry the weight and warmth of the figure pared down to feeling. Modelling in plaster before casting in small editions, he favours forms that curl in on themselves — knees drawn up, heads bowed, bodies wrapped in their own contours. The patinas are warm: copper, sienna, soft bronze touched with golden highlights. Each piece feels like a moment of inwardness made permanent, weather-soft and yet quietly monumental.
