Eamonn Higgins

Eamonn Higgins is a contemporary sculptor whose practice centres on the human face. Working primarily in bronze, mounted on polished stone, his portrait busts are studies in patience and time — every line, every weathering of the skin carrying its own narrative. His work refuses idealisation in favour of honest, attentive presence.

The Time Between Us

35 × 20 × 15 cm

A portrait bust in patinated bronze of a weathered, lined face — quiet, watchful, carrying the weight of years. Mounted on a polished dark marble plinth. A meditation on memory, presence and the distance time places between us.

Spanish for Bullshead

20 × 10 cm

A visceral, expressionist bronze by Eamonn Higgins — the rugged head of a fighting bull cast in deeply textured bronze, the polished gilt horns thrusting forward like a memory of the corrida. Mounted on a thick black slate plinth that grounds the wild energy of the surface modelling. 20 × 10 cm.

Paper HarePaper Hare in gallery

Paper Hare

45x15 cm

Forged from steel and finished with the honesty of the workshop still showing — scorch marks, weld lines, burnished edges — Eamonn Higgins' Paper Hare takes one of nature's lightest creatures and renders it in one of the heaviest materials we know. The result is a quiet contradiction: a hare that looks aged and worn and crumpled from paper but weighs like iron. Alert, poised, and unmistakably Higgins.
