Her work depicts the Swedish coastline as well as the rich Irish countryside. It is the closeness to the sea that inspires, the delicacy of light and buildings that has a story to tell. Her landscapes are barren and free with only traces of people, often capturing a sense of calm and familiarity. Over the years her ‘Swedish’ and ‘Irish’ paintings have merged – the colour tones are no longer as different as they once were, the sentiments of longing and belonging entwined.
She works mainly in oils, occasionally with egg tempera and natural pigments. Her work is in public and private collections nationally and in Sweden, UK, Norway, Japan and Australia.
