Mateusz Lubecki

Mateusz Lubecki was born and grew up in Poland, and is currently living in Mullagh, county Cavan.
After graduating with a BA in Art from IADT in 2016 he has been awarded a part in the Peer
Residency in RHA and the Bullock Lane Residency in Cavan Town.

Mateusz’s work is mainly concerned with the nuances and imperfections of memory.
He is using my own childhood memories and photographs from family albums,
and tries to materialise his past and, at the same time, comment on how
photography influences and changes how we remember our past.
